How to get rid of warts, those nasty raised bumps that appear on our skin. They are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Many people consider wart removal because they feel their warts are ugly, possibly embarrassing, and fear they are contagious.
This study focuses on the noncancerous lumps of flesh found on the human body. They are fairly common, usually painless and generally referred to as warts. These common warts are indeed an infection found in the top layer of our skin, caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus, or HPV, family. They can and do affect both males and females at any age. Yet, warts do have a major target group. They are particularly prevalent among children and young adolescents. This could be due to their immune systems not yet developed a strong defence against the numerous strains of human papillomavirus that they will encounter over their lifetimes.
Whilst most warts are not generally harmful, they are still blemishes on what could be deemed an otherwise flawless skin. With this in mind, warts can cause embarrassment.
